There are two ways to adjust monster strength the way you want them.
First one is through map generation settings - you can select "strong" or "Very strong". This value adjusts the starting stack sizes.
If "very strong" is too much and "strong" is too less, some fine tuning can be added by adjusting the H55-settings.lua file. It is located in MM55-settings.pak file.
Besides other multiple settings that can be adjusted there is one parameter called:
H55_NeutralStackSize which by default is set to 1.
It is used to multiply the default map stack size. Below that variable there is a description on the amplitude on the value.
H55_NeutralStackSize = 1; --Multiplier for neutral stack size standing on the adventure map (do not set to zero) Example: 1.2 = 20% more, 0.8 = 20% less.
