I've sunk dozens of hours into my profile and I still occasionally put new stuff on it or very slightly change it, just to try and perfect everything. It's also just a great way to subtly show off your interests. You take one look at my page and you pretty much know what I'm all about. That's partially why other sites who limit their level of customization don't appeal to me nearly as much. You can only do so much with a tiny banner and a shitty circle avatar.
