Ещё, кажется, будут встречаться герои из предыдущих частей. Больше вроде ничего такого сказано не было.
Похоже речь шла лишь об отсылках к предыдущим частям. Как в 5-ке, скажем, упоминались Крэг-Хак и Сандро, но, вероятно, с героями из 3-ки они не имели ничего общего.
