[ÏÀÒ×] Unofficial Heroes V patch

Unofficial Heroes V patch

This patch aims to fix issues plaguing the last official release of the game - Tribes of The East 3.1. It is meant to improve the experience of players that enjoy the original game. Any contribution in terms of patches or framework improvement is appreciated!


INSTALLATION
  1. Open Heroes V game folder bin directory.
  2. Rename um.dll to backup_um.dll
  3. From Releases, Download the um.dll file and place it in bin folder.
  4. Play the game!
COMPATIBILITY

Patch is compatible with:
  • Heroes V Tribes of the East 3.1
  • Any mod based on Tribes of the East 3.1 that do not affect the exe.
Patch is NOT compatible with:
  • Vanilla H5, Hammers of Fate versions
  • Quantomas 3.1j.exe
  • Might and Magic Heroes 5.5 mod as fixes are already included there.
FIXES
  • fix: Arcane Renewal triggered when Summon Hive, Blade Barrier and Arcane Crystal are cast successfully
  • fix: Empowered Armageddon was not benefiting from "Master of Fire" and "Ignite" perks
  • fix: Empowered Armageddon stone hitting central squares did not do additional damage as the spell specify
  • fix: Empowered Armageddon was not hitting War Machines
  • fix: removing Barbarian Learning with Memory Mentor did not revoke primary skill bonuses
  • fix: Imbue balista shots exhausted Hero ATB
  • fix: Rune of Dragonform could be cast by Fire Dragon.
  • fix: Crash when Arcane Crystal or Blade Barrier were summoned on a tile with snare
  • fix: CombatAIFix v1.1 by RedHavenHero
  • change: Stack splits distrubite 1 creature to the new stack instead of half of the original size
  • fix: After level up hero max mana calculation does not take into account knowledge bonus from book of power.
  • fix: Master of Fire perk substracted half defense from the moment of impact instead of half of the current creature defense
  • fix: Encourage ability was affected by resistance
  • fix: Elite Casters perk reduced mana for abilities

Спасибо! Я правильно понял - запускать можно будет через стандартный *.exe и при этом мод на правку AI от товарища RedHavenHero будет уже включён в патч?

Only if the patches from 5.5 repo overlap the one from the dll. Dont use the patches that do the same thing as the DLL patch notes and you are good.

Added a note in compatibility section about patch being not compatible with the Map Editor. So far noone has reported issues but it is possible to make the editor crash when used.
The solution is just to revert to the original um.dll for that moment.

Removed compatibility note from the main post as after some tests it seems the DLL is not used by the Editor exe so there is no chance for crashes.

  • fix: Elite Casters perk reduced mana for abilities

This fixes should make the base game more stable, not the opposite so I will appreciate if you test the bugs and provide feedback even if no issues occur. Just mention which feature was tested.

Yes, goblin traps. All spells, which caused the crash before (Crystal, wall of swords and hive). Without the patch, crashes occur 100% of the time. With this DLL, crashes occur with some probability, but they still occur.Create an arena with goblins and throw traps, and cast a summon on the trap with the enemy hero. Sooner or later, the crash happens.

Does the AI ​​fix require a separate mod installation or is it built into the library? I understand it works right away without the mod. Right?
